Ron R. Welborn

As Partner of Canyon Creek, Ron brings over three decades of experience in commercial real estate investment, development, management, and private equity. His career spans multiple real estate asset classes and markets, with deep expertise in sourcing, structuring, and executing complex transactions across the United States.

Before joining Canyon Creek, Ron served as General Manager of a multi-disciplined private investment office in Colorado with diversified holdings in real estate and multiple operating businesses. He oversaw all investment initiatives across multiple sectors, achieving expansion and double-digit returns across various asset classes.

In that role, he secured numerous municipal approvals and led construction and development activities for a master-planned PUD anchored by major tenants such as FedEx and the Bureau of Land Management.

Earlier in his career, Ron served as Vice President and Partner at Jackson-Shaw Company in Dallas, Texas. For more than two decades, he directed all aspects of locating, acquiring, developing, and financing mixed-use and master-planned projects in multiple states. During his tenure, Jackson-Shaw completed several billion dollars of transactions.

At Canyon Creek, Ron applies his extensive investment experience and real estate background to drive disciplined, value-oriented strategies that balance performance with entrepreneurial agility.

He is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker and a member of TREC and NAR.

Ron earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and International Business from Baylor University.
