Ben Stephens

As Partner of Canyon Creek, Ben brings nearly a decade of experience in commercial real estate investment, acquisitions, and asset management. He helps guide the firm’s investment strategy and execution, overseeing deal acquisitions, asset management, and maintaining Canyon Creek’s banking and investor relationships with a disciplined, institutional approach.

Before joining Canyon Creek, Ben served as Director of Acquisitions and Asset Management at Woodside Capital Partners, a Fort Worth–based private equity real estate firm specializing in opportunistic and distressed investments.

During his seven-year tenure, he played a key role in executing more than 50 transactions across 25 markets nationwide, representing over $439 million in total transaction volume on behalf of institutional capital partners, family offices, and RIAs.

As a member of Woodside’s five-person investment committee, Ben focused primarily on office, industrial, retail, and medical office assets, transacting with institutional counterparties such as Lone Star Funds, DRA Advisors, LNR, C-III (Greystone), and CW Capital.

Active in professional organizations, including The Real Estate Council (TREC) and the Fort Worth Real Estate Council, Ben continues to cultivate relationships across the investment and development community.

He is also deeply committed to philanthropy, serving as a St. Jude HERO and fundraising annually for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through its marathon event in Memphis.

Ben earned his MBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin.
